Celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month with Raghavan Iyer
We’re thrilled to be partnering with renowned Indian chef Raghavan Iyer for this year’s LGBTQ+ Pride Month celebration.
Raghavan, who lives with his partner Terry and son Robert in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has long been a friend to Bon Appétit teams across the country, having provided culinary trainings for over a decade. Our chefs will be featuring recipes like Bund Gobhi Nu Shaak and Palak Pulao from Raghavan’s cookbooks in our cafes. Read on to learn more about Raghavan!
With roots in Mumbai, India, Raghavan has shared his knowledge and passion for the food of his homeland for over two decades. He is the author of six best-selling cookbooks on Indian cuisine including 660 Curries, which went on to serve as the basis of the James Beard Award-winning video series, released on Craftsy.com.
Raghavan’s commitment to global connections extends beyond Indian cuisine. He previously co-founded an institute dedicated to the preservation, understanding, and enjoyment of the culinary arts of Asia. Raghavan speaks six languages fluently, a testament to his work in many multi-cultural kitchens over the years.
